The Daily Star goes in search of comments by Anjem Choudary to splash across its front page. It reproduces a post from the Islam4UK website under the headline ‘Ban Evil Xmas’.

The paper devotes an entire page to the post on Christmas on the Islam4UK website adding both a comment and a poll to the story.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Star comment piece questions why the Home Secretary ‘hasn’t got the bottle to bang them (hate preachers) up’. And it runs a poll for readers asking ‘should this nutter (Choudary) be kicked out of Britain?’

The paper also notes that 97% of Star readers don’t think Muslims are doing enough to tackle hate preachers. Well then, in the battle of ideas, will the paper give British Muslims that reject Choudary’s worldview the same prominence and level of coverage?
