Can you guess which 'Muslim' group congratulated BNP MEP Andrew Brons on his victory?

It appears that  Andrew Brons (pictured with Nick Griffin), a member of the racist British National Party who along with Griffin was elected as an MEP in the June 4th elections has received a letter of congratulations from a self-described 'Muslim' group. Can you guess which one?

A week after the BNP leader Nick Griffin said that 'Islam is a cancer' in an interview with Channel 4 News, a post on Andrew Brons's website announces his receipt of a letter congratulating him on his victory from President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Sheffield, Mr Mohsin Abbas Rizwi.

Readers will not be surprised that the Ahmadiyya are unanimously regarded as a non-Muslim sect by all the main Islamic schools of thought across the world.

Didn't the prophet use to behave nicely even towards his enemies? I don't get your point.

"self-described 'Muslim' group"

Is it illegal to self-describe yourself as Muslim? Not sure what you mean.

Perhaps this post had been clearer on what it intents to say.

Muneeb, I think the piece is self-explanatory. Ahmadis are not regarded as being Muslims by any major Islamic group in the world.

Shahid Kamal Ahmad  - No surprise     |2009-07-17 14:56:37
This is hardly a surprise. Since their inception by the swearing, married-woman-chasing, Empire-worhsipping, Christ-hating Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Ahmadis/Qadianis have frequently sided with the enemies of Islam.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad offered to spy for the British on fellow Muslims and more recently, in their centre in Kababeer, occupied Palestine, they invited the war criminal Shimon Peres as a guest of honour to their "iftar" (last year).

Even more recently, we witnessed the stomach-churning spectacle of Mirza Masroor shaking hands with the Bishop of Rochester and now this.

As a Muslim revert from Ahmadiyya, I have faced persecution and serious threats to myself and my family from this self-styled "peaceful" cult. Why? Because I recite from Mr. Mirza's books in some of my videos - www.youtube.com/shahidkamal

Please read the Ahmadiyya category on my blog for some details.
